Re: How can I become a DCP after completing Agriculture engineering?
You have to write Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC in order to become an IPS officer because there is no direct recruitment available for the post of DCP. The post of DCP is filled by IPS officers. IPS officers get DCP rank through promotion.
The eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are following:- -The candidate must be a citizen of India. -The candidate should have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized college or university with any percentage. -The candidate age should be in between 21 years to 32 years for general category.Age is relaxed for OBC by 3 years, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates. -The selection procedure consists of three stages, namely; * Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), * Mains Examination (Conventional Type), * Personal Interview & Group Discussion. |
