Re: Job opportunities except lecturership after completing M.Sc Maths from IIT?
Those who have done Master's degree in Mathematics have good job opportunities in public and private sector both. Some of the most important fields where you can get good jobs are Research, Banking, Teaching etc.
Private Sector jobs: #Banks like HDFC, ICICI and insurance companies like Bajaj Allianz, Met Life Insurance offer jobs to M.Sc in Mathematics. #Software companies also give jobs to M.Sc mathematics candidates. Examples of software companies include Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Wipro etc. Job area is in numerical analysis in computer design, programming etc. Public Sector Jobs: #Public sector banking jobs through IBPS exam for Probationary officer and Clerk. #You can get jobs in DRDO, Research laboratories of CSIR etc. #Government job options like exam conducted by SSC, UPSC, Railways etc. All these job options are except lectureship through NET exam. |
