Hi everyone, I am doing BSc in Geography Honours. I want to know about the job opportunities in Government sector for me. I want to get Government job after completing my Graduation. Please let me know about the job opportunities asap.

There are various job opportunities in government sector for BSc geography students,here are some listed below
1. IAS.IPS,IFS etc civil services exams conducted by UPSC and Civil service exam by state run public services.

2. Exams like SSC CGL , CHSL etc conducted by Staff selection commisssion.

3. Exams like Probationary officers, Clerks by IBPS in banking sector.

4. Sub inspector, Commercial tax officer , First division assistant and second division assistants by states boards.

5.Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Examination by UPSC

This exam recruits people into the Geological Survey of India as geologists, geophysicists and chemists. This exam is also for hydrogeologist posts in the Central Ground Water Board.

The government jobs are the lucrative options for the career after completing the graduation. There are various job vacancies released by the government in different sectors this year.
You need to find the interest which field you want to join or in which field you are interested at?
You may choose the job career among the following government job options:

• Banking Job like IBPS, RRB and other private banks,
• SSC
• UPSC
• Railway
• Defence
• Central office posts
• Army
• Police
• Scientist or research
• Lab assistant
• Lecturer etc.

Right now Railway and SSC is the major posts through which you may apply for the government jobs.

B.Sc (Bachelor of Science) in Geography is a graduation level degree. The duration of the course is 3 years.
