Dear Lata,
There is lot of scope in this field, in the coming days as it is a research oriented job yo can go for R&D in pharma companies or any bio related plants.
You need to do a PG and followed by a doctorate technically you have to be very sound and good in computer's and good written and verbal English communication can be an added advantage.
You can also Choose marketing of some bio related products and also you can choose after sales also.
If all the above does not work with NET SET exams cleared you can choose to become Lecturer and now a days Lecturer's are also paid handsome salary. Work hard for excellence and have confidence in you and you will definitely succeed.

hello dear,
be happy , you are doing btech in biotechnology, then whats problem? Now a days various scope in biotechnology has been occurred in India, specially pharmaceutical field, cosmetic company etc.
And if you can perform higher study, I mean master degree, then you can get best opportunity.
So don’t worry. Think high, do high.

1) you have taken engineering
2) you r doing btech in biotechnology
so u left no scope for any jobs for u....i am extremy sorry bt it's true biotech in pantnagar sucks....becouse i am one of those 34 who r there with u....

just study any course in good institute to change biotechnology to IT Field....

ya surely u can get a better job bt now a days experience is preferred so dear it takes time have that package bt you really want that life then you have to work hard at initaial stage after that u can switch to other company which can give u better package , good luck"

well it depends on each year cut off in gate bt in general u should score 96 percentile above ur probability to get a iit seat more even some nits r better in most fields which u choose like nit durgapur n warrangal in bioprocess technology. good luck
