I am a student of 3rd year Electrical Engineering department.Can I sit for the entrance examination of IAF now and is there any job for those people who wants to join IAF as an engineer?

There's a lot of oppotunity for the engineers in Armed forces. U can serve Indian Airforce in technical branch which is meant for engineers.
Eligibilty criteria is btech/ BE course from any certified university.
Age limit 21-25 years.

you can join in Indian Air Force in many ways.some of process is given

1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

2.through UPSC exam. which exam you can appear after doing your btech.

3.through CDS scheme.

4.through TES scheme.

all of these are for engineering candidate.

You can sit in the exam of IAF in 3rd year for the post of Aeronautical engineers but in 6th sem not in 5th sem.

But through UES(University entry scheme), you can sit in 5th sem also, but for EKT(Engineering knowledge test)
you can sit on or after 6th sem.

After getting selected in EKT, you will be called for SSB test.

Then after qualifying in SSB you will be finally selected in Indian Air force.

There are jobs for engineers of different branches in IAF. The IAF give notifications of recruitment of graduate technical trainees and other stuffs in the technical side every year.

For the aeronautical engineer post the candidate must complete B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication/Electrical/Communications/Electronics & Communications/ Instrumentation/ Information Technology/Computer Science or a Combination of these streams from a recognized university.

Candidates must have at least 60% marks in their graduation.

The age limit is 18 to 28 Years for these posts.

Since you are pursuing electrical engineering, you may join Indian Air Force as an aeronautical engineer in the electronic department.
The minimum educational qualification required for the same is bachelor degree with a minimum of 60% in elecronics or related field.
To be eligible you must have attained 18 years and must not be over 28.
Apart from this, you can also join Indian Air Force through CDS exam conducted by UPSC. Cantidates appearing at the degree examinations are also eligible to appear for the exam.

Yes, You are eligible to sit for Air force common entrance test.
Any graduate can apply this post.
There is a special entry scheme for engineering students in Indian defense called as Technical entry Scheme.
You will be working as an engineer....

Indian Air Force conducts Fast Track Selection (FTS) for Engineering Graduates for Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) / Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) every year..
Age requirement: 18-28 years
Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics)—> BE/ BTECH (Electronics and Telecommunication, ECE, Electrical, Instrumentation, CS, IT) with 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.

Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical)—> BE/ BTECH (Aeronautical, Production, Aerospace, Mechanical) with 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University.
Height and Weight—> Minimum height for men 157.5 cms and for women 152 cms with correlated weight.

*Flying branch
*Technical branch
*Ground duty Branch

Selection procedure for engineer are you have to give their entrance test Air Force Common Addmission Test(AFCAT).

after the completion of the graduation you can apply for the different entrance exam to entry in the Indian air force conducted by the UPSC ( UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION).

the indian air force offers the admission for the engineers through the exam of the CDSE ( common defense services exam ).
age limit for applying to the flying branch in the indian air force through the CDSE exam is 19 to 23 years.
and the age limit for the technical branch in the Indian air force is 19 to 28 years.

To get selected in IAF you should go through the following exams:
(a) UES
(b) UPSC exam.
(c) CDS exam.
(d) TES exam. etc.

As you have already completed your graduation level,then you can apply for then you can get chance to take admission in Indian Army.

There are some selection procedure such as:

Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

According to the Eligibility Criteria:

Flying branch as pilot will be selected through Short Service Commission for men & women

Age:

i)19 to 23 years
ii)19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India.
Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years.

Marital Status:
You have to be Single.

Nationality:
You have to be Indian

Gender:
Men and women can apply for the examination.

Educational Qualifications

1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

or
You should have a degree of BE / B Tech of 4 years course from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters.

Generally,the notice is published in the month of March and September every year.
