i think you should purchase the gk publishers book of previous years question papers,in this book the solutions are solved very well and described in great depth and in an understandable way,

Nice to see you that you are preparing for Gate, nice concern towards your career. Every one should have this quality of assessing your self.

Gate every year conducts exams with different streams, Like Electrical, ECE etc.

Come to your point for papers.
Only papers won't help you much, you need to boost your Internal topics like if you are in ECE branch then Control system is a basic subject in which you have to enhance your knowledge,for this you should join some reputed institute for coaching.
