IES stands for Indian Engineering services examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year for the recruitment to the four categories of engineering services:

>> Civil Engineering
>> Mechanical Engineering
>> Electrical Engineering
>> Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

To apply for this examination, you have to attained the age of 21 Years and Not have attained the age of 30 Years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

To apply for this examination you have to complete your Engineering degree course from a recognised board. Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination.

The Notification of This examination will be Published in the Month of February in the employment newspaper OR in the UPSC Website.

Only those students who have completed their engineering in any of the following streams can apply for the exam

Electrical
Electronics and telecommunication
Civil
Mechanical

You should be between 21 to 30 years to apply for the exam.
