Indian Forest Services is an exciting field and is a highly rewarding as well as challenging. IFS officer is not only in charge of the forests under his area but is also responsible for the protection and preservation of the wild life and the environment. Recruitment is done on the basis of a competitive examination. The candidates who get selected are allotted a State/Union Territory cadre and they have to serve in that area till superannuation. In this service you will get inherent time-bound promotions. The pay scale of IFS officers are also very high and can be compared with the best in the government sector.

Paper pattern

In IFS Agricultural Engineering (Paper II) Papers there are two sections. Each section has 4 questions. So, the total number of questions is 8. Each section has 1 compulsory question which is to be answered by each and very candidate. In addition to this candidates have to answer 3 more questions which are to be selected in such a way so that atleast 1 question is answered from each section. In this way a candidates will answer atleast 2 questions from each group. The standard of the examination is that similar to that of bachelor’s academic examination.
