According to government of India norms to recruit School Teachers having a B.Ed degree will not be enough.

Teacher eligibility test is the entrance examination conducted for the recruitment of teachers every year by the Govt. of India.


The eligibiltiy criteria required for this examination is given below.
Education Qualification

For class 1 to 5th
Candidate should be 10+2 pass with 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2.Also a candidate should have a diploma of elementary education.

For higher classes

1).Is it necessary to get through the TET' we(B.Ed) already successfully completed, which is recognized by UGC itself, now with this TET, NCTE want to declared that UGC is unfit to produce the quality in teacher education, then action should be taken against to UGC, not on the candidates those who are qualified......

2). about eligibility criteria:
the candidates who having the diploma as qualification given eligibility to both paper-I and paper-II, where as the candidates having bachelor degree is eligible only to paper-II, is it not injustice , the person having high qualification is not eligible for both.....

3). about the fee:
for general category & OBC the fee is 500/- , on what basis the fee is that much high, that to there is no upper age limit for the TET examination, which means it is open robbery by the NCTE ,

4). What about the classes from IX to XII, for that everybody are eligible ? in addition to that every state conduction their own TET examination, so we need to give the test twice in a year,

i'm confused about tet and ctet. Is both r same or different because many guys r asking the date of tet haryana forms above but all the answer given to them is about ctet. plz tell me about this who hav more n clear info. about all this.
