MAT stands for Management Aptitude test and this examination is conducted by AIMA, 4 times in a year and the examination is conducted in February, May, Sep and December. This examination is only for those who are Interested to take admission in Management courses in top business schools.

To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduation degree course in any discipline from a recognised University. You can choose any one of the two options to take the test:

-->> Computer Based Test

Paper based test is going to be held soon on 02/Dec/2012.

And the computer based test is starts from 08/Dec/2012 onwards.

You can apply for this examination online of offline.

If you apply offline then you can obtain Form with MAT Bulletin against cash payment of Rs 1200 from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, listed Study Centres of AIMA OR from AIMA, New Delhi.

MAT 2012 - Management Aptitude Test for 2012-

MAT 2012 Eligibility:-

Every quarterly, the exam is conducted which has the following criteria:
1. The candidate appearing for MAT 2012 should be a graduate form an acclaimed university. The final year graduate students can also sit for MAT test.
2. There is no age limit to appear for this test.
3. Similarly, there are no minimum marks required in graduation to appear for MAT.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted for those students, who are seeking their admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA) and other equivalent postgraduate management program. The competitive entrance test is conducted by Centre for Management Services, which is a unit of All India Management Association (AIMA). Management Aptitude Test is a National Level Test.

Eligibility:

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is one of the important entrance tests for the admission to postgraduate programs in the field of management. The admission seekers have to appear in the entrance test to get selected for these programs. The AIMA selects only those students for the entrance test who fulfill all these eligibility requirements given in the following lines.


>> The candidate has to possess Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, that is, B.A., B.Sc., B.Com, B.Tech, etc. the candidates should have done graduation or its equivalent under 10+2+3 examination pattern, from any recognized institute of University, which is recognized by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

>> Those students, who have appeared for final year of the qualifying examination and waiting for their results, are also eligible to apply for the MAT exam.

>> The final year appearing candidates may also apply for the competitive entrance test, but they have to show all the required documentary evidences or certificates at the time of admission.


Examination Pattern:

The question paper of MAT exam of the test is designed as to examine a candidate’s skills and knowledge. This is the reason why the management of the competitive entrance test has not prescribed any particular curriculum for it. The examination pattern of MAT exam changes from year to year. However, the examination pattern given below have been followed every year.


>> Management Aptitude Test (MAT) consists of multiple choice type questions. Each question comprises four options, in which the candidates have to choose the right one of them.

>> The candidates are awarded with one mark for each correct answer. There is no provision for negative marking in the aptitude test.

>> The test consists of 200 questions, which are expected to be answered by the candidates within two and a half hours duration.

The competitive entrance test contains five papers:

>>Mathematical Skills (40)
>>Data Analysis (40)
>>Intelligence & Critical Reasoning (40)
>>Indian & Global Environment Section (40)
