ICAI stands for Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. It conducts Common Proficiency test twice every year for candidates who want to become Chartered Accountant.

The important dates for CPT June 2015 exam:

>>Last date of registration to CPT: 01/04/2015.

>>Starting date of online application form: 07/04/2015.

>>Last date for submission of online application form: 28/04/2015.

>>Last date for receipt of printout of online application form: 02/05/2015.

>>Date of CPT June examination: 14/06/2015.

Examination pattern for CPT:

CPT is an objective type examination consisting of 200 multiple choice questions from following sections:

1. Aptitude: 50 questions

2. Mercantile law: 40 questions

3. Economics: 50 questions

4. Accounting: 60 questions.

Each questions carries one mark each and there is negative marking of 0.33 for each wrong answer. You need to score 30% in each section and overall 50% to clear the CPT exam.
