Since you want to take the test in December 2012, you will have to register for the Common Proficiency Test on or before 01-10-2012. Once you are registered, you will get your registration number as well as study materials. As soon as the examination forms are made available online, you will have to register for it separately. The availability of the examination form, schedule of test and last date of submission of the examination form will be notified by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India later. So, if you want to take the test to be conducted in the month of December, you must register as early as possible in order to avoid last minute rush and to do so, you may either obtain the registration form from the Regional Branches/Centers of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or you may download the registration from by Clicking Here. |

So you have to check the date when you have done your registration and it will be valid for 3 years from that date If 3 years has expired than you have to get the renewal done to give the CPT Exams again Next CPT exams would be held in December 2013 Also if you have completed Graduationa nd meet the below conditions than you would get exemptions from appearing in CPT and get direct admission in the IPCC Stage >> Commerce Graduates needs to score minimum aggregate of 55% marks in B.COM to get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams. A candidates can get exemption from giving the CPT exams if he/she has studied atleast 3 papers from the below list of papers. Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management including Financial Management, Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc., Costing, Business Administration, Management Accounting >> For Non Commerce Graduates, if they have scored more than 60% marks in Graduation, they get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams and get direct admission in the IPCC stage |
