Bachelor of Education (BEd) Programme of IGNOU is recognized by the NCTE




Basic Eligibility :[/B]

The eligibility criterion for the B.Ed program is a Bachelor’s or higher degree from a recognized university.
Candidates with Two years full-time regular teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis as
Primary/Graduate/Post-Graduate Teachers in Primary, Secondary/Higher/Senior secondary school
recognized by the central or a state government or a union territory are eligible to take admission.
Duration :
The Minimum Duration is 2 Years
and Maximum Duration is 4 Years.
Age limit :
There is no age bar.

Programme Fee :-
Rs. 17,400/- for the entire programme in Lump sum in the first year only.
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed. programme are advised not to pay the fee along
with the filled-in application form. They will get a separate communication about their
admission and payment of fee.

January 2013 session admission through Entrance tests for: B.Ed.
Student Handbook and Prospectus can be obtained from Registrar (SRD), IGNOU,
Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 and also from all the Regional Centres by sending a sum of `550/-
through a demand draft/IPO in favour of IGNOU, payable at New Delhi or city of the concerned
Regional Centre or by paying `500/- in cash at the sale counters at these places.
Please write your name and address on the back of the DD/IPO.
Last date for receipt of request for Student Handbook and Prospectus by post is 30th June, 2012.
