Yes, the lateral entry B. Tech is eligible for the ET examination. The graduate who successfully completes their B.Tech is eligible to take the engineer trainee examination. Different companies in various sectors are conducting this examination to recruit the trainees in various fields. The eligibility criteria vary according to each examination and the applicant can find it in the notification details. But there is no such restriction for the lateral entry candidates.

Hi friend,
You are eligible for ET exam.There are no restrictions for Lateral entries.Infact you can also apply for Jr.engineers based on your diploma in companies BHEL,HAL etc. For ET, Any Engineering graduate is eligible to apply for the respective diciplines. Regards Prudvi Raj |
