Sir,

I came to know that there is lateral entry for many PG courses. Is there is lateral entry for MCA in coming years. In Starting of this year Anna University announced that Lateral entry for MCA from 2010.Is the lateral entry is applicable for all universities?.

Please clear my doubt sir

only few indian universities have lateral entry scheme for there mca programs.
scheme varies from institutes to institutes,you can contact respective institute for it,

In many universities they are providing lateral entries for M.C.A. for the persons who have completed P.G.D.C.A along with any U.G degree.

Quite a few distance learning Universities other than Anna Univ. including IGNOU has a lateral entry provision in their MCA programmes though the lateral entry eligibility (academic as well as 'working' experience') varies from university to university. In some cases it is specifically for BCA only. You may see it in respective Univ sites.

few institutes/university can provide lateral courses in mca, you may try on this university such as IGNOU. lets try IN IGNOU.

There are different rule for different university.
Yeah its right that many university provide lateral entry scheme like Sikkim manipal university.
But you have to contact university for this.
First you have to choose university and then contact them for this enquiry.

Yes there are rare colleges that provides lateral entry for MCA like ANNA,IGNOU,You also may complete your MCA from foreign countries in distance learning projects they are far good .

pt. j l n govt. college faridabad is also take admission directly for all courses.

I do not think there are any institute which provide lateral entry for MCA student,
because it is considered as the post graduate course.

Generally lateral entry is provided only by the diploma course.

There is not any provision of lateral entry for the MCA students.

i am final year Bca student wanted to do MCA after Bca but i dont have maths at 10 2 ,suggest me way to do mCA or Do i am eligible for MCA

it is a 2 years course which gives you a master application in computers.
in my view,there is no where a issue in which you could get a lateral entry.
if some degree takes both(bca + mca) together,then you could find some scope.

Anna university does admit students for it's MCA programs on the basis of lateral entries but it is liable to the availability of seats after admission in it's first sam program so, one cannot be sure regarding the admission through lateral entries .

You need to have maths as one of subjects in +2 and must have passed graduation with atleast 50% marks .

lateral entry in mca is being given by some universities only to those students who have done Pgdca alongwith u.g. Degree. So you must contact the university in which you want to apply for details.

For details you have to visit the university you want to join...

So for that yoou will have to visit the ddifferent universities manually.

there this phenomenon can take place.
otherwise you can go for mtech in cs.

at present there is no any college in India which gives lateral entry in MCA.

you have to appear in 1st year of MCA.there is no any facility of lateral entry like in engineering college.

you have to take admission in first year of MCA.

It is a true news that universities are offering MCA through lateral entries. Most of the universities have two modes for lateral entries.
Firstly, it would require a Graduation with PGDCA/PGDIT/ADHNT or B.E/B.Tech in any stream from a recognized University or 'A' Level from DOEACC or BCA/B.Sc (IT/CS/CAM). Its duration is of 2 years.
Second requires M.Sc. (Computer Sc./IT) from a recognized University. It would take only one year to complete.

Many colleges and universities accept lateral entry students in the 2nd year of MCA..HP university is the one of the university which accept students in directly 2nd year through lateral entry...For HP university you need to fill up a forum which is come with Prospectus of HP university...after fill up this forum university takes a small test and then you get admission in MCA

But not all the Universities support lateral entry for MCA courses.
