Latest UGC Books to prepare for NET Exam in Economics?

Dear Sir,

Pls. suggest me the best and latest ugc books for Economics.

Again, i would like to request you to give the details about the Net Exam-June 2012 as i am not getting the same on the internet.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happened twice time in a year.

Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be scored 55% above in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate scored 50% above in masters degree.

Generally UGC exam is held twice in a year, june and december.

Since in the new pattern there will 75 compulsory objective questions in paper3, what about the elective/optional part of the syllabus?? will the 75 questions be based on the core group only??? I am really confused how to prepare the elective part i,e if at all we need to prepare any of the electives???
