IT department have lots of chances for govt sector.

The govt sector organization are UPSC EXAM . This exam conduct so many exam like IPS ,IAS ,INCOMTAXOFFICER ,CID OFFICER ,IES EXAN etc.

Also you are eligible for BSNL ,MTNL ,BSNL TTA .All these post are related to BSNL department.

The other sector are INDIAN RAILWAY ,DEFENSE exam,BANK PO eaxam.

Core govt sector jobs are DRDO ,ISRO ,BARC ,IGDR etc.

As a B.Tech in IT you are eligible for many jobs through examination conducted by UPSC(union public service commision) like:
1.Civil Services (For IAS,IPS,IFS etc...)
2.IES(Indian engineering services)
3.CBI officer,CID officer
4.Income tax,excise officer

Apart from this you can sit in the examinations for various PSUs(public sector undertaking) like:
BSNL JTO
ISRO
HAL
NALCO
IOC
DRDO
etc...

Other than the above you are eligible for the various CWT(common written tests) held by the IBPS(institute for banking personnel selection) for the vacant CLERICAL and PO posts of 19 public sector banks excluding SBI.

Now you are completing the B.Tech in information technology and then you don't worry you can find the jobs in govt as well as private sector. Apart from you are searching for jobs in jobs in govt sector and then you don't worry see below.

First of all you need to remember, for requiting the govt jobs and then you need to write the competitive exams conducted by the state as well as central govt of india.

And also remember, for attending the competitive exams required educational qualifications are you must completed the any graduation from recognized university and required age limit should be 21-30 years and here age relaxation is also given to reserved category candidates such as 5years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Private jobs
Government jobs

As, you have asked about government jobs, then the details are –

1. IES
2. IAS / IPS/ IFS
3. PSUs
4. IBPS Bank Jobs
5. Railway jobs
6. Indian Defence

Indian Engineering Services ( IES )

UPSC conducts this exam.

IT is specifically for engineers. It requires B.Tech / B.E. within the age limit of 20 years to 35 years .

Civil Services – IAS / IPS/ IFS

UPSC conducts these exams also. Minimum qualification required is graduation.

Age should be between 21 years to 30 years.

Public Sector undertakings ( PSU )-

Organizations like DRDO, BHEL, ISRO, SAIL, NTPC, BSNL, MTNL , IOCL etc. recruit B.Tech IT , from time to time.

They conduct qualifying exams for the recruitments.

IBPS Bank jobs –

You can also apply for government bank jobs.

Bank PO, Bank Clerk and specialist officers jobs , recruitments are conducted by IBPS.

Minimum qualification is graduation.

Railway jobs-

Railways also conduct recruitments for technical positions.

Defence jobs-

You can apply for CDS for joining Indian Army, navy or Air force.
