is there any entrance exam for m tech in bits?
to study m tech in nit or iit , how much gate score is necessary?

Yes, there is an entrance for M.Tech in BITS. Please go through this link and you'd have all the idea as to what is the eligibility, procedure and a lot more. The application for the 2010-2011 is closed, and you need to wait for 2011-2012. However, the above link will give you an idea about everything.

As regards how much GATE score is required for admission to IITs and NITs, please see below:

IITs: 96 Percentile and Above
NITs: Between 85 and 96 Percentile

Well now the score is percentile basis...so you need to be atleast above 95 percentole to join NITs.,IIT and above 90 percentile to join BITS

You should mention your course name. For MTech, The admission is done through GATE
exam. The eligibility criteria is that you should score 60% in your degree.
You should also clear the personal interview conducted by BITS.
For entering into IIT, you should atleast score 98 percentile (approx.)

An online test is conducted by BITS at designated centres in different cities as for the admission to Higher Degree programmes leading to M.E./M.Tech. i had seen the brochure of bits Pilani but they don't offer M.tech course instead of this they offer ME. Is both the courses are same ?

but sir i have applied for both through gate percentile and given online test my gate percentile is 99.33 but still i hvnt get called by BITS
