may i knw how to get an MTECH admission in BITS and the details of the entrance exam

to apply for M.Tech. course in BITS the criteria which is required is given below

1.very good percentile gate score.

2.minimum 70% marks in btech.

First and foremost, lets make our facts clear. BITS,Pilani offers M.E or Master's in Engineering degree not M.Tech.
The Various ME degree offered by BITS are:

M.E. Biotechnology
M.E. Chemical
M.E. Chemical (with specialization in Petroleum Engineering)
M.E. Civil (with specialization in Structural Engineering/Transportation Engineering/Infrastructure Systems)
M.E. Communication Engineering
M.E. Computer Science
M.E. Design Engineering
M.E. Embedded Systems
M.E. Electrical (with specialization in Power Electronics & Drives)
M.E. Manufacturing Systems Engineering
M.E. Mechanical
M.E. Microelectronics
M.E. Software Systems

For admission to BITS pilani for ME program, you have to score a minimum 60% in the qualification exam for the same.
If you could tell me your branch i can provide more info on admission to you.

If you qualify in the qualifying exam, you have to appear for entrance test conducted online in various cities across India.
Candidates are selected on the basis of the online test and called for personal interview.
The interview results decide whether a candidate is selected or not.

Also, please note admission for the session 2011-2012 is over. You need to wait for next years course.

BITS have published there form for entrance exam of the M.Tech.
Gate score card is applicable for the admission in the M.Tech course for any Good university in INDIA.
Procedure to fill the Application form of BITS:
Register Online at http://www.bits-pilani.ac.in/hdadmn/ and download the application form. The completed application form along with the prescribed fees of Rs. 600/- in the form of crossed Demand draft should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani-333 031.

my score in gate 2011 is around 33(ec).what are the chance getting admission in iit and nits ,i belong from obc catagery. b.tech aggerate is 63%

Admission PROCEDURE :


For admission to M.E./M.Pharm. candidates have to appear in the Online tests

conducted by BITS at designated centers in different cities Shortlisted candidates will be

required to come for an interview at Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad at their own cost and the

admission is made on the basis of the performance in the online test and interviews..

Application Procedure:


The Last Date for the completed Applications forms to reach Admissions office BITS, Pilani was 30th November 2010.

Eligibility for Admissions:
A Minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying degree examination for All Programmes

What is the procedure for getting admission in mtech cse ? Is there any date when vill be the test for the same will be conducted? As i have heard that there s a test conducted by institute in december? Is it true ? if yes then plz tell me...i vill be very thankful...my btech %age is 78...

u have to clear the GATE exam in order to get into BITS for doing M.Tech..and score above 600 to get a really good college..the only way to get into M.Tech BITS is GATE..
