Mahatma Gandhi University is empowered to award Degree as specified by the University Grant Commission(UGC) u/s 22 of UGC Act 1956. MG University is recognised by Distant Education Council(DEC) and not approved by AICTE but approved by tripartite Committee of UGC-DEC-AICTE.
