Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth was established in the year 1920 under the Government of India. Initially the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth was named as Kashi Vidyapeeth after the famous independence leader of India, Mahatma Gandhi. The vidyapeeth is a renowned deemed and chartered university of the country. The vidyapeeth was established by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta, who was a famous nationalist and educationalist.
Job Profile:
Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth is inviting application for the faculty posts of Professor, Lecturer and Reader. Candidates will have to teach students subjects of their interest.
Eligibility:
Candidates are required to be in between the minimum and maximum age limit set for the above specified faculty posts.
Educational Qualification:
Graduation is the minimum educational qualification set for the posts. The graduation must be done from any recognized institute or university.
No. of posts:
Professor: Only 5 posts are available.
Reader (Associate Professor): Only 2 posts are available.
Lecturer (Assistant Professor): Only 10 posts are available.
Pay Scale:
Professor: Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.
Reader (Associate Professor): Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.
Lecturer (Assistant Professor): Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.
Selection Process:
The selection process for all the specified faculty posts i.e. Professor, Lecturer and Reader consists of a interview test that will be taken by a selection committee organised by Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth.
Application Fee:
The application fee for General candidtes is Ts. 750 and Rs. 500 for SC/ST candidates. The application fee must be paid in the form of a Demand Draft. The DD must be made in favour of Finance Officer, Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth payable at Varanasi.
