Common Proficiency Test

CPT is open only to those students who are already registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India for the said course and fulfill the requisite eligibility conditions.

It is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course. It is a test of four subjects i.e. Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. This test is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each.

There is no any provision of number of attempts in CPT. But, the candidate have to re-validate his registration after three years.

Good luck.........

Hi Guest,

As per the notification of CPT, there are no number of attempts for the exam, it means you can give any number of attempts you want.

So give the best in your examination and have a good future.

Thank you,

All the best.

Hi
For giving the CPT, there is no restrictions in the number of attempts. You can give it as many times as you want or till you get selected. Moreover there is a provision that your score is valid for three continues years. For example if you did well with the first attempt and you got the good score, but you thought you can do even better in your next attempt. Now in the next attempt, if your score would be less than your first year score, then you can show your first year score also. But keep this in mind that the score is valid for three years only. After three years, the score will not be valid and you'll have to valid your new score.
Gud luck
