After BSc you are eligible to go for the M.Sc course. But for the MCA course you need to fulfill some conditions. You should have pursued Mathematics as a subject during 12th standard. Some institutes require that you should have secured at least 50% marks during graduation. You may be required to appear for an entrance exam to secure admission for MCA course.

Re: MCA or M.Sc(CS) after B.Sc(IT)?
Hello Soumya,
I think you should opt for MCA rather than M.Sc(IT) if you had maths in your 10(+2) level.. Because in MCA, you can get the knowledge of what the software industry demands. To get acquainted with software development concepts you have to study MCA. Now if you are opting to go for the academic field rather than joining the software sector, then of course you can go for M.Sc(IT). Now choice is yours.. |

If you want to do your higher studies than you can do MCA.The main requirment for this is you should completed your 12th with maths subject. You have a maths background. So that you can do mca.MCA is a very good master degree and by this you can get programming languages knowledge which helps you in your future. So choice is yours.MSC is also a very good option. But i suggest for MCA. All the best |
