So basically, on the basis of your performance in the higher secondary examination, you will not get seat in any medical college, instead your performance in the higher secondary examination will decide whether you are eligible to write the medical entrance examinations or not. In order to be considered eligible for almost every medical entrance examination, you will need to score a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. |

Re: Minimum percentage required to get medical seat in 12th boards?
Hi
If you want to take up Medicine line, I am providing you some basic Information which you must know in order to take this up as your graduation. MBBS is the course which is the first step in medicine line if you want to become a doctor. The ENT is another stream which you may choose. Now coming to the process of selection, the AIIMS i.e All India Institute of Medical Sciences conducts an entrance exam called the AIPMT - All India Pre Medical Test. This is done to select the best candidates for the MBBS studies in top medical colleges in India based on the merit and rankings of this exam. The Eligibility for this is that you should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as COMPULSORY subjects. Also you must have scored over 60% aggregate in it. Now so coming to your query, I would suggest that you score as much as you can in your 12th boards as its only once. But 60% is the minimum requirements for any student to take up Medical or Engineering studies as graduation. Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |

In medical stream the institutions will be expecting the maximum marks in the examinations. If you have 90% and above in the 12th Class you will be having a better future and will be eligible to apply for the good colleges. You can apply for the best colleges with the score you are going to get in the entrance examinations and other things. Thank you, All the best. |
