hey minimum percentage you require in 12th class is 60%(only in pcm)...overall percentage should be anything for appearing in iit.
iit is one of best entrance exam through which you get the top most college of india and also get the good placement,
so for preperaing for this exam kyou concept in pcm should be strong as you can make.
so my best wishes with you.

They need minimum 60% in PCM only ,they do not have any corelation with other subjects.

dear friends
you can not give the exam of IIT
because minimum eligibility is 60% in PCM but you find 53%
so you can got B.TECH from private colleges.
so many good private colleges in india
you got any one in it from own intrested

dear friend ,

to appear in the iitjee there is no criteria for the total percentage of the 12th exam.

the aggregate score of the physics , chemistry and maths is considered .
to appear in the iitjee one must have to score 60% aggregate in the pcm subjects.

iitjee exam doesn't consider the overall score of the 12th exam.

for the more information about the iitjee exam kindly visit the website www.iitjee.org

thanks and best luck

for IIT-JEE the overall percentage in 6 subjects is not considered..

only the aggregate percentage in PCM is considered for the minimum eligibility for IIT-JEE

you should have 60% aggregate or above in PCM in 12th boards to be able to appear for IIT-JEE..

you have only 2 attempts to clear this exam..one is in the year in which you pass your 12th boards and the other is in the very next year

all the best

IIT only considers your marks average in Physics ,Chemistry and Maths.
You need to score an average of 60% in Physics ,Chemistry and Maths taken together.
There is no co relation between the other subjects.

Best of luck

Dear friend ,
To appear in IITJEE you require minimum 60% in all six subjects as well as in PCM too.
If you are sort of marks in any case then you are not eligible.
If you have not got 60% marks in 12th then you can appear in JEE by scoring more than 60% marks in improvement exams...

Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate(not strictly PCM) in QE. SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in QE.

The percentage of marks awarded by the Board will be treated as final. If the Board does not award the percentage of marks, it will be calculated based on the marks obtained in all subjects listed in the mark sheet. If any Board awards only letter grades without providing an equivalent percentage of marks on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the equivalent marks, and submit it at the time of counselling / admission. In case such a certificate is not provided the decision taken by the Joint Implementation Committee (JIC) of IIT-JEE 2012 will be final.

Hiiii,

Now Securing of 60 percent marks in class XII will not be sufficient for those aspiring for IITs from 2011 as the criteria is being revised wherein higher percentage would be required which will be taken into account unlike the practice now. So in 12th in ,pcm you should have these type of percentage in the different state
So here are the percentage required to get admitted in the iitjee are
Board Percentage Required

Andhra Pradesh 87.2
Assam 54.2
Bihar 64.6
CBSE 77.8
Chhattisgarh 56.8
Jharkhand 52.4
Jammu and Kashmir 67
Karnataka 67.5
Kerala 76.5
Meghalaya 49.4
Manipur 64.6
Madhya Pradesh 64
Maharashtra 61.17
Mizoram 56.2
Orissa 56.33
Punjab 70.8
Rajasthan 63.8
Tripura 50.8
Tamil Nadu 78.17
Uttar Pradesh 65
West Bengal 58

Good luck in the future !!!!!
Thank!!!
