Hi,

My name is sumit verma and my age is 28. i have completed my graduation in 2006 with some repeats. my percentage is lower than 50%. am i eligible for civil service exam.

There is no such specific rules that candidate should have scored 50 or 60 etc percentage in his/her graduation.

Passing graduation is the minimum requirement for it.

However,priority is given to superior one's.

In order to hide your low percentage in graduation you have to score well in civil service entrance exams.

but there is age limit. must be more than 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August of the year in which exam is being held.

You must be an Indian citizen.
You should be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.

you can see it in employment news dated 2-1-2010,
the last date for applying is 2-1-2010,
you can also clear your eligibility criteria doubt

u r eligible 4 exam ... u can prepare 4 civil services ... take d best option or subject u like d most, n prepare well 4 that if needed tak d help of d institution they may guide u.. otherwise start frm d 1-12th cls syllabus of cbse, graduation level , newspapers, magazines..

Graduates in any discipline from a recognised university. Candidates having professional and technical qualifications recognised by the government are also eligible. You need to have your graduation course completed with your age group between 21-30 years.This is the minimum qualification required so you can definitely apply for this exam.

You are eligible as the max age without any relaxation is 30 yrs.
Also you need to have a degree from a recognised University or equivalent. Your percentage does not count in the eligibility criteria.

Yes, Definitely you are eligible for Civil Services exam.
There is no limit of marks in graduation for appearing in Civil Services exam. Only pass student can apply for IAS exam.
Eligibility Criteria for IAS exam :
The minimum education qualification for IAS exam is graduation
