Dear Friend
You can appear GATE examination with Mechanical Engineering as subject of your GATE exam. Mechanical Engineering graduates with valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering can apply for M.Tech. in Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering in IITs. You don't need to buy any books of Aerospace Engineering for GATE exam. You should prepare for GATE with Mechanical Engineering text books which you would be studying in your B.Tech. Download the syllabus of GATE (ME) from some GATE website. http://gate.iitm.ac.in/ To practice question, you can refer GK Publishers book for GATE(ME). You can get it from any bookstore that deals in books for engineering/science courses. |

Dear friend
As you are doing BTech in mechanical then you should opt for GATE exam with mechanical engineering. If your rank will be within 700 then you will get seat in IITs for your master degree in aerospace engineering. Within 1500, you will get NITs for your master degree of aerospace engineering. In my opinion, you should revise your books which you are studying in your BTech in mechanical engineering. With best wishes! |
