I want to know whether it is necessary to apply to colleges before cat exam result is announced.it is written on top colleges website that apply before 31st dec'12. I mean how can one apply before the results are announced? Give a clarification on this?

Yes, some institute receive application form for admission in MBA course before announcement of Common Admission Test result. When results of CAT are announced then candidates are asked to update their score on application portal of college. If you have secured minimum percentile to get admission in that college then you can get admission in that college.

Some institutes invite application after declaration of results also. If you are interested in colleges which are asking for before application then you should apply or not. It is way of private college to earn money through application forms.
