I will be giving my 12th TAmilnadu board exams this march. I want to write NEST 2015. Could you help me with the eligibility.

NEST is an entrance exam for admission into National Institute of Science Education & Research (NISER).

NEST 2015 eligibility criteria :

Candidate must be born on or after 15th July, 1995. Age limit relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/PD.

Class XII passed or appearing are eligible for this exam.

Candidate should have at least 60% marks in Class XII (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PD).

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 60% marks from a recognized board are eligible for NEST 2015 exam. Candidates must possess 12th standard with subjects of Physics, Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board and also appear in NEST 2015 examination. For SC/ST and PD categories 55% marks are required.

Your age should be above 20 years. The age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ ST/ Physically Disabled (PD) candidates.

NEST 2015 Notification:-

Registration opens : January 05, 2015 (10:00 am)
Last date for receipt of completed Offline Application form : March 07, 2015 (5:30 pm)
Online application closes : March 07, 2015 (midnight)
Download of online admit cards starts : April 15, 2015
Date of examination : May 30, 2015 (Saturday), 09:30 am - 1:00 pm
