dear friend,

here are a total of 4,069 medical seats in the government, private and minority-run medical colleges.

Seats through a common entrance test will be 1,872, while the managements will have a quota of 2,033 seats. 164 seats have been set aside for the All India quota for which entrance will be conducted by the Center.

CET 2011 results have been announced on May 30 (Monday), counselling from June 9. Counselling will be held in Bangalore, Hubli, Gulbarga, Belgaum, Chitradurga, Shimoga and Mangalore.


There will be a no.of seats which is avialble in banglore.

For the 2007-08 year 1,500 engineering seats have been added.In addition to this, a new engineering college at Ramanagaram with 300 seats will add up to the CET matrix this year.

Limited medical seats for CET

Just 1,800 students can get into medical colleges via CET 2011. After Maharashtra, Karnataka has the highest number of medical colleges in India.

Karnataka has 10 medical colleges which taken in 1,100 students. ComedK has 11 medical and 25 dental colleges which offer 1,415 and 1,580 seats respectively.

Every year a number of engineering seats in Karnataka are untouched. In 2010 approximately 15,000 engineering seats remained vacant.

There are 10 govt. colleges in Karnataka. The no. of seats in each of them varies from 100 to 150.
