NO, it is not required.

however,you have to show the orignal OBC certificate (which is issued/renewed on and after 01.01.2010) at the time of councilling.

if u belong to obc then only attach the certificate .....then its compulsory
but if u r not an obc then u need not attach it..............

It is preferable only at the time of interview. BUT YOU MUST SHOW THE ORIGINAL OR ELSE YOU WILL BE REJECTED.

Hi, dear this is not that you have to submit the caste certificate alongwith the applicxation form but you have to appear this at the time of councelling.

you just need to tick the category as OBC in the category column.

but you need to produce the original certificate and the xerox copy at the time of counseling.so atleast get it ready.

Yes, it is compulsory, if you belong the OBC caste then please attach your OBC certificate with IIT-JEE application form, and you have to also show your
OBC caste certificate at the time of councelling also. So, Caste certificate
is compulsory for OBC candidates........

you have to submit a xerox copy of your obc caste certificate along with the iit form. you don,t have to submit the original one.only at the time of admission they will ask you to show it.

actually OBC certificate are not required at the time of filling the form.but it is needed at the time of counselling.
you can submit it in any form but it should be signed by the authority what is mentioned in the application form,.

before the exam starts, you should carry the online admit card to the centre.
there you will get it signed by the authority from iitjee college and then you can proceed to work up.

No there is no requirement of OBC certificate with the form.
It will be needed at the time of councelling.
If you attached it to the application form then definately you get advantage of getting reservation seat that is 27%.

his is clearly mention in the prospectus that you will have to show all the original at the time of counselling. If You will not able to produce OBC certificate, they will not consider you in General catagory. To make a rank list is not a daily process in IIT the is controlled by one of the IIT. At the time of counselling they are just varifing about you had mention in your form , that's it. So there is not any chance to transfer to general catagory. In parallel of this, IIT system is very flexible also. They can give the time of 1 to 2 month only marksheet for those 12th student because may be possible some Board will not ready to produce marksheets. But not in case Caste certificate. Main thing is that no of student will be behind you who want to get your seat. So in your case this is not possible to transfer in general rank. So be careful in this matter.
