The IIT's and many leading Universities and colleges of India conducts The All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) for the candidate for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA).

Earlier All India MCA Common Entrance Test used to be conducted by IIT Roorkee for the
students seeking admission in Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

But, from 2005 onwards IITs have started admission in MCA through
JAM (Joint Admission Test to M.Sc)

The JAM is also being conducted by IIT Roorkee.

The application for the exam is closed this year. This year it started in December and
closed in January. Either you apply next year or you try some other college.

All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET)

The IIT's and many leading Universities and Colleges of India Conducts the All India MCA Common Entrance Test (AIMCET) for the candidates for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

Exam Details
The entrance test consists of 200 questions to be answered in 3 hours time. Each question shall carry 4 marks for correct answer. For every incorrect answer one mark shall be deducted. The syllabus shall comprise of the followings:-

* Mathematics (10+2) Level - 100 Questions
* Computer Awareness - 40 Questions
* Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning - 40 Questions
* General Awareness - 20 Questions

AIMCET Examination 2011 Expected Dates:

* Last Date of the Receipt of the Form: Last week of April
* Admit Cards Dispatch Date: Mid of May

THE AIMCET or All India MCA Common Entrance Test exam is conducted by the IIT roorkee for admission to the MCA courses.

Before the AIMSET exam is conducted by IIT's and the Universities.
But Now a days the AIMSEt is not conducted by IIT's.IIT Conduct the JAM examination.

Candidate having MCA or 10+2 with Physics and Math compulsory subjects are eligible for AIMSET Exam.
