Which one has more government jobs: biochemistry or microbiology?

My Friend just finish the High Secondary Studies. Now he was is in confused because which is the best scope especially in govt jobs for biochemistry or microbiology? Sundar |

Biochemistry has various govt jobs like as drug pharmaceuticals research public funded labs chemicals environment and waste mangment food processing energy bio processing |

the no: of govt jobs are not too much but till than biochemistry has more demanded in govt jobs.

in india biotech hardly has any future . where as in microbiology you can be associated with various govt. research works related to health care.

MICROBIOLOGY Job positions in Microbiology are: 1.Biomedical scientists. 2.Scientist/Technician. 3.Microbiologists. 4.Analysts. 5.Microbiologists in water companies and the Environment Control and Monitor Agency. 6.Technical or science writer. 7.Lecturer/reader/professor in teaching field. 8.Medical Representatives in various pharmaceutical industries. both the subjects are more or less the same.
as far sa govt jobs are concerned i had come across many jobs that look for biochemistry or chemistry rather than microbiology. but if you are interested in research line, both have nearly same value. |
