syntel exam pattern is like it has an online test comprising of questions related to aptitude ,logical reasoning and verbal. To make you better understand i am providing you with a set of questions that has been asked in syntel.

1. In how many ways can 12 different books be divided equally among a) 4 sets or groups b) 4 persons Ans : a) 15400 b) 369600
2. If 7 parallel lines are intersected by another 7 parallel lines, find the no. of parallelograms thus formed. Ans : 441
3. M="+" ; N="-" ; P="*"; Q="/" ;
now he ll give sum equations u have to solvee
1) 9N2(12P[4Q2])
1.) If x men working x hrs per day can do x units of work in x days, then y men working y hrs/day would be able to complete how many units of work i y days?
Ans. y^3/x^2 (question in R.S. Agarwal)

2.) (This was a question in the first page of the section II booklet) a cone with radius----- and height -----. a hemisphere covers the cone such that base of hemisphere meets that of the cone. Then the enclose volume..... (R.S. Agarwal consists of similar questions)

3.) there was one more question on volume and surface area.....

4.) 1 Rs, 50 ps , 25 ps coins are in the ratio ---------, then the number of 50 ps coins if they sum to ------Rs. (similar question in R.S.Agarwal)

5.) There was one more question on coins i.e. abt getting a change of 10ps and 25 coins for ------Rs.(how many possible combinations or so possible)

6.) x/y+y/x=40/21(don't remember the exact value, believe this is the one) find x and y

there were 2 questions on train and one was like:
7.) a goods train starts and after 2 hrs a passenger train at 4km/hr starts and overtakes the goods train after 4 hrs, then the speed of goods train?

8.) 15hrs of boys work=6 hrs of women's work. 3/5 of the work is done by -----boys and -----women. How much time would be the question)

Total 85 questions – 90 Minutes
There is no negative marking.

Written test is divided into 3 sections.
1) Section I contains 25 verbal questions.
The time given for this is 15 minutes.
Refer Barron’s GRE guide

2) Section II is on Quantitative Aptitude.
There are 30 questions in this which are to be solved in 45 minutes.
Refer Quantitative Aptitude by R.S.Agarwal to prepare.

3) Section III is on Logical reasoning.
There are 30 questions in this and time allotted for this is 30 minutes.

Dear friend,

SYENTEL is the top most MNC company.So they have a placement criteria.

The criteria of SYENTEL is given below:-

1)Candidate must be score at least 50% in through out career.
2)Pending Backlog are not allowed.
3)Maximum 1 year gap are allowed.

The Selection process of SYENTEL:-

1)Aptitude Test.
2)Technical Test
3)Personal Interview.

The Pattern of Syntel examination is somewhat like this :


A total 85 questions will be asked in the paper which you have to answer in 90 Minutes
No negative marking will be done in any aptitude paper of Syntel.

The written test would be divided in 3 parts.
1) Part 1 would consist of 25 verbal questions.
2) Part 2 would question you on Quantitative Aptitude.
3) Part 3 would be on Logical reasoning.

Read R.S Aggarwal and practice as many questions as you can for the aptitude.

The test will consists of questions based on your core subjects like operating system , data structure etc.Prepare well for these topics.

The main area of questions are from your fundamentals especially the programming section.Prepare accordingly.
Go through whatever you have learned in your first and second year of you graduation/engineering,maximum questions are asked from them.Also try to get access to previous tear question papers of Syntel to get better idea of the exam.

I had a 95 questions with a time frame of 1 minute for each question and the time given was 60 minutes... i finished verbal and quant could not complete analytical.. will my score be considered... no one in my centre completed...there were more questions than the time given...this is for today's 2013 exam
