Yes, SYNTEL company is basically for computer science/IT based students. So i don't think so that you can apply for this company as a software engineer as you are belonging to Electronics and instrumentation engineering.
however, you can apply for the other jobs in this company as hardware developer, Network impertinence, support officer.
For getting into this company you have to appear for the entrance test conducted by this company. After selecting in the written test you will call for the interview.
The salary package is varies from 2.8 to 3.8 p.a.

i am sorry but i differ .i got selected in syntel nd m a 2011 batch student from eee branch. so it has nothing to do with ur stream.....
