I am a PCB student and I also don't have computer in 12th class, so am I eligible to bca course or not in such situation, please do explain me.

BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Application. The eligibility criteria for this course is as below:

>>Candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board. Majority of Institutes offering BCA course have criteria that candidate must have studied Mathematics in 10+2 but some of institute take admission of candidate who has not studied Mathematics also.

>>Percentage of marks required to take admission is 50%.

>>Admission to BCA course is done on basis of entrance test or on basis of percentage criteria.

You are eligible for admission in BCA in following institutes:

>>Lucknow University.

>>College of Business Studies, Delhi University.

>>Kurukshetra University.

>>Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

1. Candidates from all streams either it is science or arts or commerce are eligible for Bachelor of Computer Application.

But top institutes which offer this course take candidate who have done 10+2 with Mathematics and English.

You are eligible for BCA course but you will not be eligible to do BCA from top institute. You can do enquiry in your desired BCA college regarding admission.

# As candidate with PCB stream in intermediate are also eligible for BCA course but such candidates are not eligible for MCA course in future. As MCA course required 10+2 with Mathematics along with BCA degree.

* Candidate must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level.

It is not necessary to have computer in 10+2 to get admission in BCA course.

Also only few of university offers admission to candidate having PCB as main paper in 10+2. But for admission or appearing in entrance examination for most of university required qualification is candidates must have passed 10+2 with Science ( PCM ) with minimum 60%.

You are not eligible for pursuing BCA course because for getting admission in BCA you must have Maths or Computer science in your 12th class. As you are a PCB candidate and also not have computer in 12th class, so you are not eligible for admission in BCA.

PCB candidates can do BCA from good college but not from top college as top college only takes those candidates who have mathematics in 10+2.
