well dear friend this question is as simple as PCI is pharmacy council of india and any pharmacy college in india has to take its approval to run pharmacy courses in india ..so you can say that it is a governing and regulating body of all pharmacy colleges in india .. so its approval is a must .. check the college affilation before taking admission as you may save your self from regretting later on ..

Hello friend,
PCI or Pharmacy Council of India approval is very essential for any Pharma courses in India. It is the pharmacy regulatory authority in India. As UGC and AICTE regulates Indian universities and Indian Technical Education respectively, so also PCI regulates Pharma education. So a B.Pharma degree without PCI affiliation will not be a valid one. |

dear friend,
Yes definitely PCI or Pharmacy Council of India maintains the Regulation of Profession and Practice of Pharmacy in India. For any Pharmacy college, it must have a PCI affiliation to it. Qualification for registration as a pharmacist is a Degree course in Pharmacy” (B.Pharm) from an institution approved by the PCI. Good Luck! |

PCI APPROVAL IS NOT REQUIRED FOR M. PHARMA DEGREE IF , THE PERSON IS DOING M.PHARMA FROM UGC RECOGNIGED UNIVERSITY PRIVATE/ SEMI GOVERNMENT.

Sir, if it is necessary then why AICTE affiliated colleges are allowed to give B. Pharm degree?
Why not PCI is getting the full responsibility for opening the Pharmacy College?? Why AICTE affiliated college are given permission to run the B.Pharmacy Course? This only leads misunderstandings & many students are destroying there carrier by taking admission into Non-PCI college. PCI should really take some responsibility about it. |
