No specific percentage criteria in 12th standard is required to become an IAS officer. You should have passed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a Government recognised university to be eligible to apply for IAS examination. So, being a 12th standard Science stream student, you have to pursue graduate degree in any discipline from a Government recognised university to be eligible to apply for IAS examination.

To make your dream come true you have to appear and qualify in the Civil Service Examination which is conducted by UPSC.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit.

The examination is conducted in three stages. There is no minimum required aggregate to appear for the examination. So you just need passing marks to appear for the examination.

IPS refers to Indian Police Service and to be an IPS officer, you are required to qualify the Civil Services examination held by UPSC once every year.

Further, for appearing n the same examination, the minimum education required is a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Marks and stream of academics at any level does not matter in the case of eligibility for the same examination.

So, you do not have to be worried about the minimum marks which you are required to secure in your Class 12th in order to become eligible for IPS officer.
