Re: Percentage required for admission in MBA?
It is not necessary that there will be marks criteria to apply for Master of Business Administration. It really depends on entrance exam for which you are applying.
MBA is a 2 years post graduation course in management. Its one of the most popular course which is highly preferred by the graduates. The admission for Master of Business Administration is not possible without a entrance exam. Whether there will be marks requirement of not would completely depend on the entrance exam to are applying. MBA Entrance Exams 1. CAT 2. MAT 3. GMAT 4. RMAT 5. KMAT 6. TANCET 7. IIFT 8. SNAP 9. XAT If you have sufficent marks in graduation to appear for CAT, then I will recommend this entrance eam above the others mentioned in the list. Common Admission Test is conducted by the most prestigious business schools in India called Indian Institutes of Management. CAT Eligibility 1. The candidate should be graduate. 2. With 50 percent marks in graduation. 3. SC/ST need 45 percent marks. 4. There is no relaxation for OBC. I recommend CAT not only because of Indian Institutes of Management but also due to the fact that there are various other reputed colleges in India that accepts the CAT score. But in case you do not have enough marks in graduation to apply for Common Admission Test then please consider appearing for the entrance exams like MAT, RMAT, KMAT etc. |

Re: Percentage required for admission in MBA?
Hi,The very first requirement to take admission for 2 years full time MBA is that you need to have completed your Graduation with a minimum of 50%, if you belong to General category and 45% if you belong to reserved category.
Once you meet the above criteria you will then have to appear for MBA entrance exams, Personal interview and Group discussion. Based on your final score (Percentile) you may then apply for admission to various MBA colleges accordingly. Note: You may also apply for MBA entrance exam in case you have only appeared for your final years exam, however need to submit the scorecard later. Basically your final years percentage does not matter a lot, you just have to meet that criteria. All you need to focus on is in your MBA entrance exam, P.I and G.D because the better the percentile you score, the better the chance of getting admission in top college. Regards. |

Re: Percentage required for admission in MBA?

There are some really good B-Schools in our country which offers this course and in order to study in most of them one needs to sit for an entrance examinations. While there are some national level entrance tests like CAT or MAT which you can give since many colleges accepts these scores but some institutes also prefers to conduct their own entrance exam. The eligibility criteria to pursue MBA is very simple. You need to be a graduate in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. The percentage of marks is not an issue here since the ones with pass marks can also pursue this course. But as mentioned if you are eyeing the top colleges you have to sit for the Entrance Exams and they have certain eligibility criteria which one needs to be satisfy in order to be considered eligible. Of all the entrance exams, CAT is the most popular of all and definitely everyone's favourite. In order to give this exam you have to have not less than 50% of marks at graduation level. For the reserved category candidates the marks to secure is 45% of marks. But if you do not have the marks mentioned above then you can easily go for exams like MAT or IIFT even where the marks really does not poses a threat and anyone with just the pass marks at graduation level can apply. The entrance exams can be given by the final year students as well. Here is a list of MBA Entrance Exams to choose from:-
