Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) is conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE – Hyderabad) for selecting suitable candidates to MBA/MCA courses in any reputed universities or other affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Graduates with a minimum of 50% marks can apply. It is essential to attain 25% marks in ICET to get admission for either MBA/MCA courses. Test centers are arranged in cities like Vikarabad, Vijayawada, Anantapur, Amalapuram, Nellore and Vijayawada.

Eligibility Requirements for Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) 2013

Applicant must be an Indian national to apply for this entrance exam. It is also necessary for them to be eligible in accordance to the local/non-local status requirements which is specified in the amendments made by Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions. Those applicants who are not Indian citizens need to fulfill the eligibility criterions or rules specified by the particular University. Following are the important educational qualifications required by candidates to submit applications for ICET –

  • For MBA – Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) is essential to apply for this exam.
  • For MCA – It is essential to complete a graduate degree by scoring 50% or above marks (SC/ST/OBC - 45% marks). Applicants need to study Mathematics as a subject either at 12th class level or graduation in order to attend ICET-MCA.

It is also possible for final year graduates to attend the test, provided they are able to obtain the required qualification before the admission process starts. Those who have taken a graduate degree via distance mode are also eligible to apply. Such candidates must have obtained the required qualification from any institute recognized by AICTE, DEC or UGC. Candidate’s admission to any college after passing ICET will be based on the affiliation or recognition obtained by the institute from respective statutory bodies. The required pass percentage specified for ICET is 25% marks. There is no cut off percentage for SC/ST candidates.
