Re: What is the percentage required in graduation for MBA admission?
You need to have a bachelor's degree (3-year course) or equivalent in any discipline recognised by any Indian University / AICTE as eligible for post-graduate studies with atleast 45% aggregate score.. You can apply while you are in your final year of graduation. If you do get through the admission test, you will be given provisional admission on the condition that you provide your mark sheet and a certificate of passing by a certain date. |

Re: What is the percentage required in graduation for MBA admission?
MBA stands for the Master of Business Administration. It is 2 years post graduation course in management studies. There is no specific percentage criteria in graduation to apply for the Master of Business Administration.
It all depends on which entrance exam you will appear for. As you may know that admission for Master of Business Administration is given through the entrance exam. There are various entrance exams to apply like: JMET TANCET CAT MAT GMAT XAT Each entrance exam has its own criteria. If you are confused regarding which entrance exam to appear for, let me help you out. Your first priority should be Common Admission Test. The Common Admission Test is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management. You should apply for it since apart from IIMs that are the best management colleges in the country, IITs, NITs and many other reputed colleges offer admission for the management studies. CAT Eligibility 1. You should have a bachelor's degree. 2. 50 percent marks in the bachelor's course. 3. SC/ST need 45 percent marks. The other exams should be considered only if you are not eligible for the Common Admission Test. Since you belong to Schedule Tribe, if you have 45 percent marks in graduation then there should be no issue in applying for the Common Admission Test. However if your marks are below 45 percent then you will have to consider some other option. In case when candidate has low percentage in graduation, generally the Management Aptitude Test is recommended. MAT is conducted 4 times in a year. It is recommended because there is no percentage criteria for it. Therefore as long as you have passing marks in graduation, you can appear for the Management Aptitude Test. |

Types of MBA Programmes:-
But if you have failed to secure 50% of marks or more then also you can sit for various other MBA Entrance Exams where only pass marks needs to be secured and on scoring good marks in these exams like MAT too you can get top colleges. Some institutes even gives direct admission to students. But i would recommend you to first gather detailed information about the institute's placement records, quality of the faculty members etc before saying yes. When pursuing MBA needless to say the institute you choose matters a lot here. Top MBA Entrance Exams:-
For MAT exam you just need to be a graduate and your graduation marks is of little importance here. So you just need to guarantee 40% of marks at graduation level or the pass marks in short. If you want to apply for the MBA programmes in any one of the Institutes of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University then again you need 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) for all the MBA Programmes. For NMAT too you need to have 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in first attempt at graduation level. Along with that for all the Full Time programs, candidates with two or more years of post-qualification work experience is required. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
