Pharmacy jobs offer a better career opportunities with lot of growth prospects.

A pharmacist can get chance to work with pharmaceutical industry, medical department
of the government, medical universities, teaching hospitals, investigation and research
institute etc.

A pharmacist may get jobs in the pharmaceutical industry in the research, development,
formulation, production and marketing of new kind of drugs for clinical use.

The armed forces hospital and its medical wing also offer plenty of job opportunities to the pharmacists.

medical representatives--> The role of the medical representatives is to keep the medical practitioners informed about the new drugs .

BIOTECH:

With a bachelor's degree you can reach the level of scientist in a biotechnology lab

advance in the biotechnology field, the demand for biotechnologists will increase


Research & Development, Quality Control, Clinical Research,Manufacturing & Production,
Regulatory Affairs, Information Systems, Administration

SO CHOICE IS YOUR BOTH FIELD ARE VERY GOOD

Pharmacy & Biotech: Better Career

Firstly it depends on your choice & likings which field is best.

But pharma have wider scope comparatively. You can pursue Bachelors & Masters in pharmacy & join a pharma company. The are many pharma companies. You can even join research work.

In case of biotech, you need to pursue Masters in biotech & apply for research positions in institutions & companies.

More important is join the course either biotech or pharmacy at good institutes like NITs/ IITs/JNU which will offer you placement opportunities too.

i think u can go for biotech its got a gud scope in d comin years..

Both these stream are equally exciting and good scope. But which of these interests you depends on you. You have to first of understand the opportunities available after each of these. Based on that you need to select the one that suits your aspirations. You have options to go into the research, becoming an entrepreneur etc.

dear friend,

I think its better to study pharmacy course than biotechnology, because pharmacy sector is well setup in INDIA and moreover there are plenty of jobs in different fields like
teaching profession , in industry there are jobs like: quality control officer, quality analyst , regulatory affairs, research and development etc..

Biotechnology is still developing in INDIA and needs some time to select it as a good career plan.
