Merchant Navy is basically a term used for fleet of ships used to move cargo from one place to the other place

career in merchant navy implies to the persons who work in those ships.

Merchant Navy is the most popular career in the minds of many students.

It is one of the most high paying job sector.In merchant there are mainly three types of jobs
->Jobs on Deck
->Jobs in Engine
->Jobs in Service

The candidates who will to take the career in merchant navy have a willingness to work in sea for months together by leaving their families and relations.

The personal traits required for a career in merchant navy are discipline, responsibility, adjustability, team work, and intelligence.

But B.Sc Natural Science is the course which has to be taken up by the aspirants of Merchant Navy.

This is all regarding Merchant Navy.

I think its a bad news for you that your son is not eligible..
but there are ways to get in to merchant navy explore them.
