All the other streams of Engineering are some or the other time boring but whereas if we consider Mechanical engineering it is the best stream in my view because what you learn in engineering you will see the same in the practical real world. after completing such a course you will not have any limits in terms of job opportunities. Higher studies opportunities and also interms of Research opportunities. if you do M.Tech as your higher studies you may get a good engineering posts in top PSU's like BHEL,ECIL etc., because there are many opportunities for Mechanical engineers in these companies. and also you can avail many opportunities in research organizations like ISRO DRDO as scientists and also as engineers. if you take up MBA course in India or Abroad you can become a good manager for a good company with high pay packages. In this way your job profiles will vary from different fields if you write civil service examination then you may become a civil servant like IAS/IPS IFS etc., if you want to get into defense services you can attempt various interviews through UES,TGC SSC etc., all these are only a few opportunities which I know about your branch if you think more then sky is the limit for your opportunities. All the best for your career. Regards ~AdityA~ |

Re: For which post am I eligible after completing B.Tech Mechanical?
Dear Friend
Different government companies recruit engineering Graduates with different names of designation but they all are very much same. The change in name is due to difference in policies of companies. Company:esignation to fresh Engineering Graduates Coal India limited: Management Trainee SAIL: Management Trainee(Technical) NTPC: Executive Engineer Trainee ONGC: Graduate Trainee BHEL: Engineer Trainee BEL: Probationary Engineer Generally training period use to be one year from the date of joining. After completion of training period the designation is converted to Assistant Manager, Executive Engineer etc. Whenever some company publishes notice for a job, the eligibility is clearly mentioned. The companies that are mentioned above recruit Mechanical Engineers(BE) every year. The notification for all the exams are published in Employment News. Also, you can refer www.freshersworld.com for updates of Govt. jobs. |
