Are power engineers eligible for IOCL (indian oil) exam?
i am a final year btech student from NATIONAL POWER TRAINING INSTITUTE.my branch is power engineering.plz tell me if power engineers are eligible for IOCL (indian oil corporation) exam or not!

As per the eligibility criteria candidates from power engineering discipline are not eligible. The list of engineering discipline for which the candidates can apply through are:
Chemical & Petrochemicals Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Instrumentation Engineering(Including Electronics & Instrumentation engineering but excluding Electronics & Communication engineering/ Telecom engineering) Mechanical Engineering(excluding Production/ Manufacturing/ Industrial) Metallurgical Engineering Note: Also a candidate should have secured atleast 65% in engineering and be appearing in GATE examination through the mentioned disciplines. On the basis of GATE-2010 score, the candidates will be short listed for further selection process comprising of: Group Discussion / Group Task anPersonal Interview.

Hi...any candidate persuing degree in power engineering has a bright future..they can apply in iocl for good job. Because IOCL is running many power plants. So it is very much easier to get a good job there by doing a litte hard work.. Good day

yes power engineers are eligible for iocl exam . power engineers have a great part in iocl.. indian oil corporation is need of power engineers

for IOCL Graduate's from engineering disciplines across the company (IOC):
- Chemical Engineering (Including Petrochemicals engineering) - Civil Engineering - Electrical Engineering - Instrumentation Engineering (Including Electronics & Instrumentation engineering but excluding Electronics & Communication engineering/ Telecommunication engineering) - Mechanical Engineering (excluding Production/ Manufacturing/ Industrial engineering) - Metallurgical Engineering so i think you are not eligible for the exam but you can check the details more from iocl website but any ways best of luck to you and wish you success in life.... |

IOCL formally takes only 3 branches: 1.electrical 2.civil 3.electronics 4.mechanical So,its not for sure for what they will take,but yes,the govt.is going to discuss something. |

No my friend i think you not are eligible for the exam,the minimum eligibility is that candidate must have a minimum of 65% marks in Engineering or Business Management from recognised institutes.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering /Technology from the following branches are generally considered: 1. Chemical, including Petrochemical/ Polymer Engineering 2. Mechanical [excluding Production/Industrial] Engineering 3. Electrical 4. Civil (Excluding Construction/ Structural) 5. Instrumentation & Control 6. Metallurgy 7. Computer Science 8. The eligibility to apply for IOCL entrance test is: candidate must have graduation degree i.e have B.E/B.Tech degree in following engineering branches: 1. Chemical, including Petrochemical/ Polymer Engineering 2. Mechanical [excluding Production/Industrial] Engineering 3. Electrical 4. Civil (Excluding Construction/ Structural) 5. Instrumentation & Control 6. Metallurgy 7. Computer Science 8. Fire Engineering. So you are not eligible for applying for this exam.. Good luck! |
