Postal Assistant Exam Details:-

## Postal Assistant Exam and Sorting Assistant Exam is conducted by the Department of Postal Govt. of India. They publishes a notifications and interested candidates will have to submit their application forms then. A recruitment examination is taken to choose the deserving candidates.

## If you wish to give this exam then you need to be a higher secondary passed out student or its equivalent from a recognized school or institution with not less than 60 percent of marks at 10+2 level.

## There is percentage relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For the OBC Candidates it is 50% in aggregate and for SC/ST Candidates it is 45% of marks in aggregate.

## While applying for this exam your age should not be less than 18 years when applying for the exam as that is the minimum age criteria here. The upper age limit is for general category is 27 years.

## To avoid any communication problem with the residents of the concerned postal circle you need to be well versed in the local language of the State of the postal circle in question.

## It will do even if you have studied hindi at matriculation level or above. Since this is the official language of our country so you can use this as a common medium of communication.

## You need to answer 200 questions in all within a time limit of two and a half hours. Questions are mostly objective type and conceptual so you need to give the answers very carefully. Be very alert when answering them.

## For the written examination you can expect questions from the following sections:

• General Knowledge
• Mathematics
• Reasoning
• English

## You will have to sit for a computer test or typing test as well in addition to the above mentioned written exam. The duration of the exam will be of 30 minutes maximum.

## For general category candidates the cost of the application form is Rs. 200 and it will be available in the head post offices and other post offices in the circle.

If you have completed 12th std with 60% marks then you are eligible for postal assistant exam....

Relaxation on Percentages for OBC minimum 55% and for SC/ST minimum 45%.....

Age of candidate should be between 18 to 27 years, Relaxation as per
Government Rule.....

Citizenship of India...

Exam Pattern:-

Total Marks- 100
Total no. of Questions- 100
Time Duration- 2 Hours.
