Postal Assistant Exam and Sorting Assistant Exam is conducted by the Department of Postal Govt. of India .

If you have completed 12th standard with above 60% marks then you are eligible for Postal assistant Exam .For OBC candidate marks required 50% and for SC/ST candidate marks required 45% .

Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years old.You must know your local language very clearly .

Exam pattern for postal assistant exam: -

General Knowledge : 25 questions 25 Marks
Mathematics : 25 questions 25 Marks
English : 25 questions 25 Marks
Reasoning & Analytical Ability : 25 questions 25 Marks

If you are are interested to make the career as postal assistants in the post office then you need to pass higher secondary examination first with not less than 60% of marks at 10+2 level. There is some relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

You need to have English as one of your compulsory subject at 10+2 level. You also need to be proficient in the local language of the State where you will apply. Apart from that you need to have good computer skill.

Your age should not be lower than 18 years when applying for this examination. The upper age limit for giving this exam is 27 years. This is the upper age limit of general category candidate. There is some relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

Candidates are selected by following the three steps written below:-

• 40% weight-age (Marks obtained in12th class)
• 50% (Marks obtained in aptitude test)
• 10 marks for computer test & typing skills

For the exam stress on the following areas:-

1. 25 Questions on General Knowledge – 25 marks
2. 25 Questions on Mathematics – 25 Marks
3. 25 Questions on English – 25 marks
4. 25 Questions on Reasoning and Analytical Ability – 25 Marks
