Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India conducts the ICWAI Foundation Course Exam and the candidates are selected through 3 stages:

Foundation course.
Intermediate.
Final course.

The candidates who have finished +2 from a recognized board are eligible for the foundation test.

The candidates must have a age more than 17 years for foundation course.

The candidates must pass the foundation course to be eligible for the Intermediate and if they pass both then they will be eligible for the final course.

For pursuing this program a student must have completed 17 years of ages and must have passed the senior secondary examination (10+2) of any board recognized by the Central or State government.ICWA candidates are in huge demand in private companies, pharmaceutical, banking sector, finance sector, government sector, and education as well as in public utility sector. The initial salary in this field will start from Rs.25,000 to Rs.30,000 per month.

Hi,

ICWA can be done by qualifying the exam conducted by ICWAI.

Exams are held two times in a year i.e. on 11th to 18th June and on 10th to 17th December.

Procedure to apply for the exam

You can apply for the exam either offline or online.

For ONLINE-

Visit www.icwai-wirc.org

For OFFLINE –

You can get the forms from a post office and send the filled form along with the documents required at this address –

There are three levels of this course -

Foundation
Intermediate
Final

Foundation level is for intermediate students.

Intermediate is for graduate students.

Postal coaching means you can do it part time and simultaneously you can do any another course also.

ICWA stands for Institute of Cost and Work Accountant which conducts ICW course.

One can join CWA's Intermediate course directly after completion ofr Graduation Degree in any stream.

CWA course is of three stage:-

Foundation Course which can be pursed by those completed 12th in any stream from a recognised university

Intermediate Course can be pursed after completion of Foundation Course or Graduate in any stream can be directly admitted to this course.

Final Course can be pursed after completion of Intermediate course.

After Completing B.COM you have to do the below stage of the ICWA course
>> Intermediate
>> Final

You would require minimum 4 years to complete this course

You would be required to undertake 3 years of practical Training also

The fees for the ICWA intermediate course is Rs 19700

In the Intermediate stage you ahve to study the below subjects:

Paper 1 : Financial Accounting
Paper 2 : Laws, Ethics and Governance
Paper 3 : Direct Taxation
Paper 4 : Cost Accounting and Financial Management
Paper 5 : Operation Management & Information System
Paper 6: Cost and Management Accountancy
Paper 7: Indirect Taxation
Paper 8 : Company Accounts and Audit
