Re: Required age limit for Bank Exams?
Sir,
The eligibility criteria and age limit will depend upon the bank which you are applying for. It also depends on the post and to which category you belong. As you are 26 years of age you have few more years ahead of you for applying in to different banks. If you have a graduation with more than 60 % of marks then you can apply to Probationary officer post in different banks. As for clerical jobs, you might be over aged for some banks. If you fit in to SC, ST, PWD, EX-SERVICEMEN, OBC category then you will get an age relaxation. Backward category will also get a relaxation on percentage of mark which is 5% less on the prescribed requirement. The advertisement from of the banks will contain the age limit for that bank. There are two levels for which the entrance exam is conducted. If you are planning to appear for the clerical level exam then you will not be eligible for the same. However if you plan to appear for the probationary officer exam then you can attempt till you reach 30 years of age. There are some relaxation in the age limit for those belonging to SC/ST category. There could be some difference in the age limit for some banks. You need to be on the look out for advertisements regarding this. Also if you plan to appear for the probationary officer exam you need to have completed your graduation. You must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in graduation. For the clerical level it is a must to have cleared the 12th standard. On clearing the entrance exam you will need to appear for a personal interview. Thanks, |
