Re: How to apply for IBPS exam after passing B.Com
You can apply for the both exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Services (IBPS). There are two major exams conducted by the IBPS. The name of these exams are IBPS Clerk and IBPS Bank PO.
For both exams, candidate must be a graduate to apply. While IBPS Clerk exam is conducted two times in a year, IBPS Bank PO is conducted only once in the month of June. There are 19 Public Sector Banks that participates in the exams. Firstly you should decide upon appearing for the exam. The criteria is almost the same apart from the age limit. Therefore my recommendation would be IBPS Bank PO. But you are free to decide on your own. The notification of the exam is published at least couple of months in advance on the official website of IBPS - www.ibps.in. You must read the notification properly which includes the entire procedure to apply for the exam. The form is also submittted online through the same website. IBPS Clerical Eligibility 1. A graduation degree from a recognized university. 2. There is no percentage requirement. 3. A diploma/degree in Computers or must have studied Computers/IT subject in High School or college. 4. Must be fluent in official language of the state where you want job. For example if you want Clerical job in a bank in Gujarat, then you must be able to read and write Gujarati language. 5. The age limit for IBPS Clerk is 20 to 28 years. 6. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. 7. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation. 8. PWD gets 10 years relaxation. IBPS Bank PO 1. Minimum of bachelor degree in any discipline. 2. There is no minimum percentage criteria. 3. Your age should be 20 to 30 years. 4. The age limit is relaxed for OBC by 3 years. 5. Age limit for SC/ST is relaxed by 5 years. 6. Person with Disability gets 10 years relaxation in upper age limit. |
